Seems an easy assumption to make I feel

I thought so too but ive seen alot of people getting overhyped expecting things like Metroid Prime 4 so i just wanted to make a more grounded and reasonable prediction.

The DLC will be a Cranky Kong costume.

That's it.

A good chance that it will, yes

That's what BOTW 2 (or the next Zelda) is for.

But why wait 3-4 years (or longer) when you can have more this year?

For me? Personally, the main game is enough. That and I idealistically am opposed to the practice of splicing up a game, releasing it in chunks and selling it in staggered fashion to increase profits. A lot of that has to do with my age and growing up in an era where that didn't happen. I was a child in the 80's, a teenager in the 90's and in my early 20's during the PS2 era. None of this shit happened. We got the entire game on disc or cartridge and if it was planned to be in the game, things like added difficulty or map tracking etc., it came along with your initial purchase.

But if you want to pay $90.00 or $100.00 for a video game, that's your money and your choice. I won't begrudge you. It's just not something I'm ok with.

Is this the dlc that was teased in the season pass? Has that still not been released yet??

I mostly agree with you. But DLC isn't just cutting chunks out of a game and selling them to you for extra later (even if that is the EA/Ubisoft route). BOTW was a complete game as it was wasn't it? No content cut out. So this is just brand new content on top of the original game. You still get your 1 full game, but can get an extra chunk on top too. When it's done right like that DLC's pretty good actually.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

They called it "expansion" back in the days

So you're only giving Mario Odyssey a 0.01% chance of being game of the year? Did Mario jump on your cat or something?

I absolutely love Mario Odyssey but they have to appease the VGA watching audience so a "hardcore" game has to win GOTY.

You do realize this is the same VGA show that Spike hosted for years... I'm pretty sure a Madden won GotY.

I think there might be a good chance of that. I know some people have speculated that we'll see Metroid Prime 4 there as well, but I don't think so. I am curious on the chances of Fire Emblem Switch getting a surprise reveal trailer though.

I used quotations for a reason.
