But if you're going to act like a jerk to somebody who's trying to freshen things up a bit around here (for free, mind you) - well then, I'm sorry but I'm not going to react all that nicely. It's completely unneccesary, I don't care what your "style" is.

I'm ALL EARS/EYES when it comes to suggestions for ways to make this site better - and if there's something that's been implemented (whether it was built by me or by somebody else) that's not quite right, I'm definitely open to hearing opinions on improvement. But I'm NOT going to be talked down to, in the process. That's just not going to happen - period.

This is off topic, but since I have your EARS/EYES here right now: Just in case you hadn't seen it, there is a thread about a possible night mode for VGC, wich would be a really nice feature to have. :)

Ha!! Yes - I saw it, but I've already got a STACK of things on my plate...  :(

I can Imagine! I think the community as a whole really appreciates the work you and the others put in.I know I do.

I don't know if the website redesign is still on, but maybe a night mode could fit in there as a feature somewhere.

Yes - Trucks has worked up some great looking stuff!! He would be the one to ask about something like that, as he definitely has invested some serious effort on a refresh...

I think that down the line, different templates could be a possibility since I'll be more in control of the CSS once the switch to the new responsive site is done.

I agree with this - unfortunately, there is NEVER middle-ground in this area. Hell, I personally still long for the old "blue" format from 2008!!

Any change to design, brings accolades and criticism - it's just the way it is. Some people are highly resistant to change in any form no matter how small, while others view a website that hasn't been refreshed in 30 days as "static"! It's definitely a very delicate situation to balance, which is why I like Trucks design - it still feels like the current version, but modernized to handle new technology. A fairly nice blend which hopefully satisfies people on both sides of the argument.  :)

As long as it's not like that black and orange format... >.<
