Nice! Just one thing, make sure you keep it cool. No exceptions. My "gaming" laptop from 2011 has ceased to play games for awhile now, due to cooling problems.

Roger that! This laptop has great fans and I'm making sure it's in a completely vented area. Plus there's a button on the case that supercharges the fans to expel heat (sounds like a jet engine when it's going full bore!). BTW, what is an ideal temperature for a gaming machine? I should probably get a temperature program so I can monitor and make sure it doesn't overheat.

I downloaded Speedfan which is free. I am not an expert on Laptop temperatures, but this is just my observations of my own laptop as it overheats.

Since you have an i7  like me, I feel it will be somewhat similar as they are pretty efficient, for others it might be much worse.

30-50C: Probably ideal, my computer doesn't do this anymore except for the HD0.

50-70C:  If playing a game that is pretty intense, this is what it will probably run at. Shouldn't harm it, but during the summer with no AC there could be problems.

70-90C: This is what my computer runs at 90% of the time now,  it is too hot but no problems with non games, and if I can keep the temp at this area I can play some games.  Fans are kinda noisy but not too bad.

90C-100C: Shouldn't do anything but cooling down your computer at this point, once my GPU hits 100C my computer automatically turns off to prevent damages. If it gets this hot, there are some serious problems I fear. Fans are ridiculously loud. If it is cool enough in my room I can play one 50 min game of League of Legends on the worst settings and it will stay at around 91C, if it is too hot my computer will slowly creep up to 100C and I have to disconnect  and reconnect to keep it cool.

It's nice to see you post again, John.

Proud to be a Californian.

I remember you.

I got a gaming laptop a few years ago, making sure it was lightweight. It was a good decision.

I clicked the mean comment in the poll just cause I'm feeling evil >:) Sweet rig, though.

Everything points to an MSI GT73VR but I haven't found configurations with just 240GB SSD. It's probably not a Razer Blade Pro because that's much better.

Anyway, if he got that thing for less than $3000 he got a good deal.

Good choice. Laptops to me are the future. They are everything in one. There Portable, there as powerful as a PC tower and the biggest collection of games in the industry.
Like someone mentioned above, keep it cool when playing for long periods. I brought on Ebay a Fan Stand design for Laptops. Only cost me $20 and runs off your Lappys USB. I recommand one especially since your laptop is a beast.

what model was it so i can check it out.

And your laptop has exceeded it already.

Nice laptop, how much did it cost you?

Not really, the XBox One X runs Rise of the Tombraider in better framerate at almost 4K, he didnt specified how much it costed but probably 3500€ vs 350€ PS4 Pro and the 500€ for XBox One X.
