I did find that but I see it says "Euroscart" and I am from the United States I was thinking that it probably would not work? If it does I would actually be fine with buying that. 

 

On your setup how are you doing sound? I do know that one thing I could do for sure is just plug a good pair of speakers into the jack on the genesis and that would work but I just wanted the sound to come from the tv. :(

EuroScart is what you want.

I have not yet gotten a Genesis model 1.  I try to get a good price when buying for collecting purposes, so far I have not seen a good price over the last year that would compel me to buy one.  Bunch of Model 2's though which output stereo through the scart.

Best way is an RGB connection to scart using a CRT set. CRT sets are so cheap now and a little portable somewhere connected to your retro consoles is ideal. I personally emulate Megadrive using an old original xbox. I think I still have some din plugs somewhere for the mk1 megadrive that allow for RGB output. I must get them on ebay might be worth something.
