Forums - Nintendo Discussion - forma.8 also sold best on Switch

This is even more impressive when you consider that this game just released, like three weeks ago, on the Switch.

Also, saying that any game would sell well on the Switch due to lack of other games is somehow flawed because then we would see amazing sales of stuff like Vroom in the Night Sky. Quality and appeal makes games sell, not lack of competition. Nobody buys shit because there's noting else to buy. You rather don't buy anything at all.

I bought Wonder boy because I wanted something to play on the switch.

It is the same reason I'm considering DB Xenoverse. Even though the game cost more, the DLC cost more, the resolution is worse, and the FPS is worse.

Imagine all the games coming to the switch by the end of next year. If those games were already on the switch I would have never touched wonderboy.

That's the third time I see you saying this just today.

Yes, you wanted something new to play, and yet you chose Wonder Boy. Why? I guess you're a person who seeks some information about something before a purchase. Exposure? Because it sparked interest in you? Becaue it looked like fun?

Or was it because everything else you saw was pure shit? Why did you pick this game over Vroom in the Night Sky?

maybe it's time for one thread for these kind of news or the NintenDominion thread.

Reading the replies, it seems more like we need a Nintendoom thread about sales. Great sales on switch = small library and desperate owners buying anything.

Is not surprising, Switch is the best place to play this kind of games, I have a bunch of friends that usually never buy this kind of indie games but now with Switch they do just because is the perfect console for them.

Yea I agree. Sonic Mania for example, while not exactly indie, just screams handheld. Beyond the game having that nostalgic factor of being similar in design to old games, playing on the switch adds another layer of nostalgia by having a handheld sonic game. Makes one think they are playing on the sega gamegear.

So many feels.
