I dont believe is gonna make it to 70 million.  I would say 69m maximum.

Again interesting numbers even during summer.
PS4 dominating.
NS thriving, stopped only by shortages.
XBOne doing decently but unexcitingly.
PSV dominating that particular niche inhabited only by itself.
And look at the boost Pikmin gave 3DS!

Good week also for SW. Even PS3 and XB360, the HW sales of which are fading away, still sell good amounts of SW.

Good first week sales for Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. I'm surprised that KH 1.5 + 2.5 is still in the top 30, maybe KH3 will have good legs but who knows xD.
Great PS4, Switch and 3DS numbers. The poor Xbone tho.

November and december alone usually has as much 5-6M consoles sold globally for the PS4. The PS4 does around 1M sales every month. Which means that by the start of novemvber it should be at around 65M sold. So yh, your estimates are pretty close. Though I would go with 70-71M.

As for the right moves? at this point all sony has to do is drop the PS4slim to $199 and the PS4pro to $299.

I'm very curious regarding the numbers for the final 2 weeks of July.  We already know NPD says Switch won July (mainly due to Splatoon 2 which released July 21), but considering that NS was 44k units first week of July (12k less than PS4) and 49k units in second week of July (again, 12k less than PS4), I thinking it may not have won by much.  Assuming PS4 was steady, we would be looking at around 240k units for the month of July for the PS4, and it's not likely NS sold 300k to 400k for the month given the 1st 2 weeks of sales only being in the 100k range.  It's possible, I suppose, but not likely.  Hence why I'm interested in those numbers.

Actually,  I went back to check last year's numbers and verified that it actually did 8 millions in Nov-Dec alone.  So no, I take that back.  It will definitely do more than 70 millions.
