Well the writing was on the walls since the later days of the 360. They stopped investing and just pumped out their top 3 franchises yearly.

It's a shame. I don't know if its Phil's fault or not, but they aren't in a very good position. I guess they did a market research that said people care more about power than games? I dunno. But i doubt that is the case.

Microsoft needs to do something drastic if they want to keep beeing competition because they are losing alot of goodwill and it's gonna make it even harder for them to turn it around.
It's amazing that they didn't take the hint after Sony's example with the PS3 of how to make a failure into a sucess.

And btw... getting Minecraft wasn't it. Waste of dollars.

Minecraft isn't a waste, it's making money for them and they keep selling on consoles and PC.

Lol Phil didn't say that in the beginning of 2017, read Veknoid_Outcasts comment.

Phil says every year will be there best year. Follow him on Twitter, dude even said this year would be the best first party Wise

I could swear MS has said at E3 last 7 years that year is the best in Xbox history and well a broken clock is right twice a day. Am I sure one of those years they were not wrong? 2017 sure as hell isn't for them.

Sure. What do they need Xbox for then?

That was the perspective i was giving was it not? The billions could have been put tp use developing exclusives for the X1 making themselves money and increasing Xbox goodwill and sales.

So, is mahjong making money? Sure, ofc it is. But Xbox is in a dump. Worth it?

You know just as well as me that PCs do not exist.

More diverse, more plentiful, just better than 2016

"In fact, we are committed to delivering even more exclusive games for both Xbox One and Windows 10 this year than we launched in 2016.  I was very proud of our first-party lineup in 2016 and I am encouraged by an even bigger and more differentiated first-party lineup in 2017"

Thanks for the link, so yeah he did say this would be a bigger year for first-party after all.

The comment I remember was at e3 when he said "The biggest and I belive most diverse lineup we have every shown at e3." That's why I thought people were getting confused, because he was just talking about the e3 presentation there.
