Forums - Movies & TV - One Last Episode Until the End of Doctor Who Series 10...

Yes, there will be spoilers in this thread so you have been warned.....

Doctor Who viewers, what do you think of Series 10 so far now that it's almost over?

Overall, I'm disappointed.  It hasn't been bad, but the "wow" factor has been too few and far in-between.  At least the characters have been good.  I think Bill and the Doctor has a lot of chemistry.  She's a bit of an awkward character, but with the Doctor, they make for good interaction.  And you have Nardole.  For the first time, you have a companion who seems to have an intimindation factor over the Doctor.  And all three characters have been quite consistant with who they are and their developing interactions with one another.

And there's Missy.  I love the change from the Master to the Mistress.  It gives the character overall depth while we're seeing another layer of her in Series 10.

This Series is probably the first since the reboot to where there isn't an overarching storyline, and this doesn't bother me.  But I wish I had known sooner so I wouldn't have spent the brainpower trying to figure out how do the episodes tie in.  Brainpower is rare these days.

Noooooo, only 1 more :(

The season has been entertaining, mostly because of the character interaction as you said. They just reached their full height of witty banter last episode with Missy and Nardole part of the 'away team'. I was absorbed more into season 3 of Enterprise, that was excellent. The letdown in its season 4 had me catch up with Dr Who again.

I guess the previous episode does tie some stuff together in the overarching story line as pertaining to the Cybermen. The last episode might reveal some more.

The pockets of references to pop culture is a welcomed element.  Being a Fantastic Four fan, Bill's comment at the beginning of the series in regards to stretching like Mr. Fantastic to reach the console completely took me off guard.  And I favor the cybermen.  Last episode did much justice to the classic Doctor Who villian.
