Beyond Good and Evil 2 Switch timed-exclusive rumours squashed, platforms confirmed by Space Monkey Program

Beyond Good and Evil 2’s Space Monkey Program sign up makes no mention of Switch, but it’ll be available on everything else.

The cinematic trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2 was revealed at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference on Monday and it looks fantastic.

Creative director, Michel Ancel, did a trailer breakdown for fans which you should check out if you want to snaffle up every morsel of information available on the game right now.

We haven’t had official confirmation of the platforms the game will be available on, but a few months ago, there were rumours that the title would be a timed-exclusive on the Switch for 12 months.

However, if – like me – you finally managed to sign up to the Space Monkey Program, you will have been presented with a screen prompting you to select your platform of choice.

The options are PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so we finally know which platforms the game will be available on.

As you’ve probably figured out, the lack of an option for the Switch has quashed the timed-exclusive rumours. We may not see it on the platform at all.

Interesting that we go from Switch exclusive to not releasing at all..

they did say in an interview that they arent talking about platforms. and with the scale of this, i wouldnt be surprised if this is moved to next gen. but i am hyped as fuck, this is just looking outstanding.

Is that official? now? The "Beyond Good and Evil 2"-Release does not surprise me (my prediction: It appears for PS4/pc or PS4/xbox). On the E3 there were great announcements, but the bigger games by other developers do not appear on switch. ps. here is an analysis about we can talk about - which are the reasons.. this is the typical problem for nintendo (switch), i think. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=229548

I found the trailer really great from the game :) Would like to see the gameplay & graphic :)

I especially liked the character and animal design.

I think this may be the case. The game looks far away from actually coming out, we're probably looking at a 2019/2020 release date. It looks like they got the concept amd tone of the game down but there's still a lot of things up in the air. It would be nice if it did make it on the Switch but I highly doubt it giving by the fantastic looking trailer (although it's just CGI so yeah)
