I predict they will disappoint me lol. We will see stuff that we already know about and nothing forward future thinking i.e. 2019 and beyond

Why would you want to know about 2019 games tho? It would only make you feel anxious. 2018 I can understand as it's relatively close, but 2019 is just too far away to be bothered with...

well i'm assuming games like Metroid (if they are in developement) probably started late so they be due in 2019. Then agian if porting to Switch is easy perhaps some of these game started development sooner and will be due in 2018.

Ah, I see it. Well, since Metroid generally releases at August, I say there is a good chance a new one is out by Aug 2018, so maybe it can be shown at this E3 (even if it's just a teaser). I'm not 100% sure, but I guess the chances are higher than ever.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

F-Zero fans' reaction if an actual F-Zero game is announced:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7LeSdXRW_o

Predictions:
- Odyssey gameplay and release date
- Super nintento mini reveal and release window
- Announcement of new smash game

Dreams:
- Super Mario World refresh or something similar 2D mario game
- A new Donkey Kong Country game
- Super Mario 64 HD

Well without already announced staffs (including Mario Rabbids) I think we will se new Retro game, Metroid Prime (it doesnt need to be Retro game), Pikmin 4 and maybe Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 3 and VC. I dont think we will see all those games but I expecting to see at least 3 of all those games, but IMO new Retro game and Metroid have most chances to be shown.

My guess is the Spotlight concentrates almost entirely on Switch, with 3DS titles being confined to cross-platform releases like Fire Emblem Warriors and Pokemon Stars. 3DS will get lots of love during the Treehouse broadcasts.

So, in terms of 2017 stuff I think we're likely to see in the Spotlight broadcast:

- ARMS, but probably just a quick update on some new stages/characters coming as DLC
- Splatoon 2 launch trailer
- Paid online service/cloud saving/Virtual Console is coming: more information in a future Direct
- Super Mario Odyssey- trailer and some in-depth information, releasing November worldwide
- Fire Emblem Warriors, trailer and release date: September worldwide (Fire Emblem 2018 tease)
- Indie reel: spotlight on select titles (Stardew Valley, Yooka Laylee) (some new exclusive or Switch first indie titles might be 2018)
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: releasing in August in North America/Europe/Australasia
-Emphasis on select third party titles for 2017: FIFA, Skyrim, Sonic Forces, Sonic Mania
- Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2 coming to the West (don't know when this would launch)
- Super Smash Bros for Switch: all 3DS/Wii U content, all DLC, plus Inklings, Inkopolis stage, plus Ice Climbers- Either Q4 2017 or Q1 2018
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 English language trailer- December release worldwide
- Pokemon Stars confirmed for Switch/3DS- launching late October 2017

Things that I think we'll see for 2018:
- Monster Hunter Generations X coming West, spring 2018
- Pikmin 4, spring 2018
- Dragon Quest XI 2018
- Retro Studios game first half 2018
- Animal Crossing summer 2018

Things that will be confined to the Treehouse broadcast will include 3DS titles: Ever Oasis, Hey Pikmin, Miitopia, Monster Hunter Stories and other titles that were confirmed in April. I also expect they'll sneak in one or two 3DS announcements during Treehouse, including a first look at the new Kirby game, as well as a reveal for Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga 3DS.

Things I would love to see, but don't think we will see
- A new F Zero/Metroid/Kid Icarus/Luigi's Mansion for 2018
-  Zelda: Link's Awakening 3D
- More on Project Octopath Traveller
- Star Tropics reboot
- Shin Megami Tensei V
- New No More Heroes (confirmed during the initial Switch reveal, don't think we'll see more till next year)
- In-game Fire Emblem Switch trailer
- Final Fantasy VI remake

Things that have been leaked that we won't see:
- SNES Mini

New Games
- Pikmin 4
- Metroid
- Mario x Rabbids
- Smash
- Pokemon

Footage:
- Splatoon 2
- ARMs update
- Dragon Quest XI
- Hey Pikmin
- Fire Emblem Warriors
- Xenoblade
- Mario Odyssey

and Switch hardware updates
- Web Broswer
- Netflix/YouTube

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Here are mine. Going to focus on new stuff since its more interesting:

-Animal Crossing will be announced for holiday 2017 - So, Animal Crossing is one of Nintendo's biggest series and is a huge hit in Japan. There was never a Wii U Animal Crossing that we know of, so I wouldn;t be surprised if the game does happen. There is also the mobile app which is coming this year, so Nintendo may want to get this game out soon. Happy Home Designer released in 2015, so I think there has been enough time to make one, especially if a Wii U game was in the works.

-2D Metroid to be released in 2018 - I think this will be Nintendo huge announcement at the end. The reason for this is I don't think Nintendo is going to make Warioware or Tomadachi Life in the future. I think the company wants to distance itself from the Wii and DS eras, which WarioWare and the Miis are a part of (you also have Miitomo not doing that well either). I think 2D Metroid would be made by the team. I expect it will be similar to Breath of the Wild with Sakamoto "producing" it but the game being made by new staff.

Retro Studio's New Game Will Be Shown and Released in 2017 - Retro has been working on something for a while. DKCTF came out in early 2014 so its been over 3 years since we've heard from them. I suspect they will have a new game to show off this year. As for what it is, I expect either a new IP, F-Zero or maybe Eternal Darkness (since Nintendo keeps renewing that trademark). But it will come out this year.

Nintendo makes a new IP that is a MOBA - I say this for two reasons. First, Nintendo seems to be making more new IPs than ever before and second because MOBAs are the last major series Nintendo hasn't made. Also, with how Nintendo is releasing content and the fact E3 will have a big push for online, I see Nintendo trying to make this game. Don't think it will happen until 2018. Alternatively, Nintendo may make a game based on that camera thing.

Zelda DLC is shown with a new trailer - Think this is pretty obvious but the next Zelda DLC will be shown. Since its story focused, we'll get a new trailer. Nintendo will also give us the release date for it. I also expect they'll have the first round of DLC release right after the presentation

Mario Party 11 shown, comes out Spring 2018 - ND Cude, for whatever reason, only makes party games. I expect the next Mario Party will be shown in trailer form. It won't get much attention.

Smash and Pikmin 4 will NOT be at E3 - More a negative prediction but I don't think these games will happen yet. Smash may be in production now but I expect Nintendo will hold off talking about it for a while. I'm expecting Smash won't get a port and instead get a new game to be released late 2018. I also don't think they want to take away from ARMS. Pikmin 4 is a situation where Miyamoto is talking about a game before production. Pikmin 3 was announced in the same way (E3 2008) but wasnt released until mid 2013. I don't think we'll see Pikmin any time soon, but it will likely be here eventually.

This is exactly what I was going to say.  They want the mobile games to direct people to their systems, so if AC mobile drops soon they won't want to wait long to get a title out on the Switch.  The two questions about whether it releases this year or early next is A) whether they think Odyssey will be enough of a tentpole on its own this holiday and B) whether they feel they have enough tentpoles planned for release in 2018 already.  But I'd be surprised if the mobile game is announced without a Switch announcement shortly thereafter.

My other predictions: heavy emphasis on ARMS, Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Odyssey.  Pokemon Z for 3DS to wrap up that system's major first party software with a bow.  Probably a bit of explaining the online services.  Maybe a Pokemon spinoff for the Switch.  Sizzle reels for indies and third parties.  At least one new franchise teased.
