Still did the exploration and item collecting better. =P

Just so you know I fucking hate SOTN. Castlevania 4 and Rondo of Blood plus Bloodlines are my jam.

Love that Rondo of Blood. So glad it came to the Wii Virtual Console.

No one has mentioned Castlevania yet? Really!?. 8-16 bit era they were linear action games. With the 32 bit era and beyond became a side scrolling Action RPG with Metroid elements..thus creating the term Metroidvania.

Super Metroid did it better. =P

Anyone remember when NaughtyDog made Jak X Combat Racing?

But Super Metroid was not a genre change from Metroid.

I know that, I was just saying Super Metroid was a better Metroidvania game than Symphony of The Night.

But it seems out of place, because he wasn't comparing its quality to Metroid, more that he was comparing its mechanics.

2D to 3D, turned based combat to action, perhaps GoW too, or is that more of a refinement?

Classic Mega Man to Mega Man Legends, not a big fan of Mega Man Legends, but it worked well.

Kid Icarus from being a strange, unforgiving platformer on the nes into a third person shooter with amazing characters/story/gameplay/replayability.

FIFA changed from a footabll game to a trading card game with microtransactions and people seem to love it!

*scnr* =P

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Try making Dota2 or LOL into a First Person style :D
