I have to admit, going by the Japanese numbers,  I was expecting more stock for the Switch. I'm expecting the console to be pretty scarce for quite a while, unless Nintendo really starts shipping them out in greater numbers. 

Congrats Switch on being the top selling console overall.

The 3DS is on the way out too it seems. Unlike Japan the release of the Switch has affected it in America.

If you take it at face value, from the weekly sales last posted on VGC, the average has dropped to 70k, but what is more likely is that it's gone something like this:

104k - 88k - 77k - 64k - 51k or there abouts.

As I predicted in previous posts, It will be a few months before we have a solid idea of the consoles baseline for the rest of the year.

Also, I suspect with those sorts of numbers, while switch may have held on to US, it may be #2 worldwide for april, not by a huge margin but still.

As of April, no 3ds/2ds model was available in the eshops of all major american retailers, they had the prompt ''check in stores'', Amazon/Walmart were selling from third parties at inflated prices.

Just wait for New 2ds xl in july for safe conclusions!
