Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What outsourced Nintendo games would you like to see in the future ?

I was thinking about the recent news about Koei Tecmo working on new Switch exclusive  and, considering the track record of outsorced games made by Koei Tecmo I started wondering what kind of game could they be working on and then, after remembering about the Mario x Rabbids game being made by Ubisoft, I realized that Nintendo seems to be keen on letting other developers work with their IPs on the Switch. So what kind of game would you like to be made from a third party developer for the Switch using an established Nintendo IP ?

Personally after hearing one of the Yacht Club Games directors saying how much he'd love to work on a 2D Metroid I've always thought they'd be perfect to renew the franchise.

Star Fox without Miyamoto - Platinum alone
Metroid 3D by someone, I don't know
and that's it, I think

Give me Metroid or give me death!

Paper Mario, or Mario RPG.

Give it back to Square (square enix)
Ask them to make a Super Mario RPG 2, or a Sequel to Paper Mario - TTYD.

I want Platinum to make a Star Fox by themselves and also a Murasame Castle reboot. Kamiya has said that he'd like to work on both of these franchises, so why not?

F-Zero by Sega. It's loong overdue, and Sega is good making those arcade racers. That or Shin'En, they did a wonderful job with Fast Racing Neo.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

First party IP developed by third party studios is the way of the future. I expect to see a lot more of it.

With regards to Nintendo, I'm curious to see if they greenlight more original IP. I think that would tell us a lot about what direction they want to take in terms of content and demographics. For example, if they had Platinum create a Bayonetta type game as opposed to a Wonderful 100 (was that even the name?) type game.

Hmmm, interesting question. Maybe an Animal Crossing game to the Don't Starve developer, Klei Entertainment.

Sin and Punishment by Platinum Games.

Animal Crossing should obviously go to Kojima's new company.
