According to game mag publisher Enterbrain (via Reuters), Sony sold 415,415 PSP units in Japan last month, almost double that of the 255,124 DS units shifted by Nintendo.
The news marks the first time in half a year that the Sony handheld managed an upset over the popular Nintendo portable, thanks to massive sales of Monster Hunter Freedom 2G by Capcom (it's big in Japan).
The Wii maintained hometown control in the console war, however, outselling the PlayStation by 3 to 1 last month. Nintendo sold 265,542 Wii units through March 30, compared to 81,579 PS3 units by Sony, and just 13,127 Xbox 360 units by Microsoft, Enterbrain said on Friday.
