so as a switch owner, according to you, im not allowed Skyrim, or xeno 2, or yooka laylee, or snake pass, or lego city, or 1/2 switch amongst any other game that gets released. ok makes sense.

I'm not saying you're not allowed to. Just that a lot of Switch owners will have the same games by the end of 2017 because there's no variety and this will decrease sales dramatically when the hybrid-console hype is gone. There will be massive droughts. I expect (much) more from a console, even in its first year. Wii U had a much better first year line up but somehow managed to sell way less.
I just don't see why you bought a Switch for these games. You can get a better (performance-wise) and cheaper experience on any other gaming machine. Skyrim is not even the Definitive Edition and probably fullpriced. 1-2 Switch is terrible and full priced. Xenoblade 2 and Mario will be good, but not let's-buy-a-320-euro-console-for-2-good-games-in-a-whole-year good.
I will wait 2-3 years when lots of Nintendo games are released and bundled with the console at lower price, when the third-party support is once again beyond terrible.

So basically you just dismissed his arguement by inserting your own opinion. Also, there has been no confirmation that Skyrim is not the Definitive Edition, but even if it is not, there is a major point about the game being portable and hence being able to play it on the go (which is quite a good reason to get ports of a lot of these games). In addition, you did not address the point that there is variety, because this list of first year releases alone goes againt your arguement that there is no variety to be found (and yes there are a lot of ports but the XOne and PS4 lineup were also largely ports and remakes within their first year, and many of those ports did well and contributed to platform adoption):
-Zelda (Action adventure)
-MK8:Deluxe (Racing)
-Splatoon 2 (third-person shooter)
-Minecraft (Sandbox/survival/platformer)
-Disgaea 5 (TRPG)
-Skyrim (First-person ARPG)
-Rayman Legends Definitive Edition (side scrolling platformer)
-Sonic Forces (Speed Platformer)
-Sonic Mania (side-scrolling fast-paced platformer)
-Xenoblade 2 (ARPG/JRPG)
-1-2 Switch (Party game)
-FIFA (sports game)
-Fire Emblem Warriors (Beat-em up/Action)
-Super Mario Odyssey (platformer)
As for the Xenoblade 2 and Mario being the only good games on the system, and I think for many people that will justify the purchase price (not to mention of course, that Nintendo can drop the price at any time should they see people holding out due to the price). Once again I refer you to the list above. I realize many of the games on that list are either ports or multiplatform. But then again most games in the PS4 and XOne's initial year were games that were also availabel on the preceding systems. That did not mean those games did not do well or were ignored. In fact, there is more of a reason for these ports to be available on the Switch, considering this system is a portable and many people did not own a Wii U to play some of the Wii U titles ported to Switch (similar to how the remaster of TLOU made a lot of sense not only for PS3 gamers that wanted a better version of the game, but also for X360 and Wii gamers that bought the PS4 and did not pay the games on PS3). Moreover, this is just the line up for the first year alone, and it might not even be complete considering we have not even had E3 yet (although I assume while E3 will reveal more things for beyond 2017, there will be a few other things for 2017 as well).

Yeah, the Switch will only get 3 Nintendo games and a few indies this whole year. Sounds about right. And Splatoon, Mario Kart and Odyssey are also the same genre. No variety there.

You may be happy with one good game per genre per console, but those games are not for everyone. Shooter fans do not like all other games in the same genre. Splatoon 1,5 and Mario games are pretty much meant for the Nintendo gamer only.
My point being, in 1 or 2 years, you will find the exact same games at every Switch owner's house. While you will find a big variety of games at PS4/XB1 owners. This is why they are and will stay more succesful consoles if Nintendo continues with this lower power and less content approach.

Who said Splatoon 2 and Mario are for Nintendo gamers only? You have made up this rule (I assume your definition of these gamers are people that only purchase Nintendo systems; the problem is the sales data for the Mario, which flutuates highly does not support your arguement), but with very little basis. Also, there is not set rule for what a Nintendo gamer is, aside that they are gaming on a Nintendo platfrom for that moment. Someone could become and stop being a Nintendo gamer at any time. Moreover, there is no rule saying that you cannot play on only one system. People with PS4s and XOne pickup a Switch as well for its library. The vast majority of people I know that have purchased the system already have a PS4/XOne/Wii U/3DS.
On the topic of finding the exact same game in every house. You can also visit the houses PS4 and Xbox One gamers and I am sure you will find a dissproportionate amount having more COD and FIFA than other games, this does not mean that other games do not exist, it just means that those franchises are simply more popular. Similarly, the Switch has a great variety of games coming in the first year alone, yes people will purchase some of Nintendo's more known titles more than others, but other titles are likely to purchased as well by different groups of people (just look at the 3DS or even PS4 and XOne; yes certain games have higher attach rate, but there are plenty of other games that did well and sold to different groups of people).
