Looks like there have been some adjustments
I wonder what the Switch would have done if It had more stock.

The PS5 Exists.

Yeah Nintendo must be super demoralized with their best console launch ever and selling the same as ps4 on the 2nd week despite the heavy supply constrains.

No matter how heavy the supply constraints are.... the switch should and is expected to outsell everything whenever stock is available for at least the next couple of months.

seriously, how do peoole not know what supply constrained means? you cant sell what doesnt exist.

if Switch was readily available than yes it should have outsold PS4 in its 2nd week but if there isnt physically that many units available than it is impossible.

I see PS4 back on top... lol i was not expecting to see that so soon.

It's important to remember that the Switch is pretty heavily supply limited. This early in a consoles life demand is going to be higher than supply for a while. The PS4 sold less than 100K units the week after it launched after all.

Edit: I also want to point out that it's far too early to tell how well the Switch is really going to do. We need to wait for it to reach a general baseline.

I know that, but i was expecting Switch to still outsell it despite its supply limitations, i was expecting some numbers above 300k.

It seems there is plenty of stock in uk of the Neon Red/Blue Switch but its the grey that is more likely out of stock unless its the Neon model they are now producing a lot more of as it's in greater demand.

Also are VGC figures shipped figures because many shops don't have Switch consoles but do have Switch games like Zelda. It might account for the higher numbers of Zelda if they are shipped figures. Maybe they are estimates based on a combination of shipped and some retail statistics so again that would account for the higher ratio's of Zelda's sold than Switch consoles.

Some markets in Europe seem to still have some original stock from the first batch but not richer countries like Germany and France I think. I'm guessing overall Europe will be a much weaker region for Switch overall than US and Japan.

The only issue with stock is available stock is priced at $399. So if people don't want to pay $399 and possibly $430 for the Switch then It's deemed out of stock for them despite the fact that's it's available.

So then by that logic the NES classic was never out of stock and too bad it's their loss to those people who didn't want to spend $999 on the only units that were available on ebay and amazon and not from actual retailers were it's sold out at RRP. I don't think that a couple people trying to make easy profit at outrageous prices count as plenty of availble stock.

Right now you can't deny on a mass scale that the Nintendo Switch supply is not meeting the Nintendo Switch demand.

Wow can't beleive how close the PS4 is to the Switch for week 2! The Switch supply must have been super tight! Still amazing for the PS4 to be this close to it!

There were zero Switches anywhere near me the second week and has been in extremely limited supplies and sold out the same day ever since.

Stop hating and start playing.

The tight stock is a big mistake on Nintendo's part. Switch sales will be slower until Obyssey, so they should've done their darn best to cash out on the launch hype..

Yeah, and most consoles launched this gen cost $399, so I don't see an issue with stock. It's more that people have an issues with paying $399 than a stock issue.
