Upscale the image and the jaggies should go away. I think that's what happened for me playing Splatoon 1 on my widescreen... Honestly, I don't know the specs of my television. I never really cared

no

if you upscale 720p image to 1080/4K it's going to look way worse.

What might it be then that the aliasing is more noticeable on my smaller television than it is on my larger one? I imagine upscaling an image would help mitigate aliasing by blurring the edges?

When I see images like this:

It looks similar to blurring...

Here's one with an image from a video game:

I must admit, I've never been one to care too much about visuals but anti-aliasing and blurring don't look too different to me...

I don't know why that happens, why the same people need to hate and always say bad things. Maybe they are scared of Switch's possible success? It's ridiculous, but that's the only thing I can come up with.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Please don't ban me but...man, this isn't good. Yikes. I guess with a stylistic game like this, it really shouldn't matter but man. How does Zelda run at 900p and this is only 720? Should be 1080. If anything, this just tells me that this game started out as a Splatoon port and they somewhere along the line decided to call it Splatoon 2. I want to see what Nintendo can do exclusively on Switch, and this isn't it. I'm sure it'll sell well but man. Then again, this is an online multiplayer game, so I guess it pans out.

Thread title updated. No idea if this will change later, but clarification for now anyway.

And cool it with the flaming and trolling guys. Come on...you're better than this. *shakes his head sadly*

Strange way to clarify that the 530p has not been confirmed in any way

Test fire in 15 minutes. Gonna try the game out on my wide screen.

Looked great handheld btw.

Hope those screenshots were just bad screenshots. The jaggies are way too much. They look terrible.

It looks the same on portable mode on the little screen, not nearly as much jaggies as those pictures.

I can't believe out of all their games they chose this one to be the big release after Zelda. It's already pretty sad how long we are are waiting Mario Kart... that looks like a Wii U game and now this Splatoon looks even worse than I remember. Maybe someday a game we want will come out on that thing.

This game looks better than the WiiU version actually, and there is more elements on the stages.

I don't understand why you can't believe it, Splatoon 2 will be a huge success just like the first one, is the best possible way to get japan market on board, they adore Splatoon.
