OOT is my favorite Zelda but my top five are OOT,Zelda 1, ALTTP, OFA (GBC) and Zelda 2 so... overall it's 2D for me.

Four Swords Adventures is a mainline game...

For me it is...

1. Currently Breath of the Wild.  It has blown me away in every aspect in terms of exploration and gameplay.  I hope to see many more like it.

2. Twilight Princess improved on everything Ocarina started.  Really enjoyed this one and Midna was an excellent side character.

3. Skyward Sword had a great story and I really enjoyed the motion controls.  I had a lot of fun with it an it does not deserve the hate it sometimes gets.

4. Majora's Mask was a very unique and dark game.  I loved the side quests and Fierce Diety is a beast.

5. Ocarina of Time was not my first Zelda game, but it was the one that truly hooked me onto the franchise.  In terms of quality it holds up over time itself, but put nostalgia aside and it is not as good as the games mentioned above in my opinion.

Least favorite mainline game is Triforce Heros.  I enjoyed it, but as far as the main canon games go it is easily the weakest Link.  If it had a less ridiculous plot, I may have felt differently about this.

Favorite side game would have to go to Hyrule Warriors.  It is easily the most notable one and many do not even know of the others.
