Forums - Gaming Discussion - According to the BotW reviewer on Dualshockers, the update fixes most of the framedrops

They also joined the 10/10 bandwagon. He says that he was debating between 9.5 and 10 but the only real complaint he had were the framedrops, most of which were apparently fixed with the day one update (2.0).

If true, then I do wonder how frequent and noticeable they are now compared to before.

EDIT - He answered on Reddit, here's what he said -

"I only got an hour or so to test everything out before the review, but I ran to some problem areas I saw before and noticed that the frame drops happened less frequently and for shorter periods of time.

Still got frame drops though. I'm hoping it will continued to be optimized as things go on."

Oh... that's nice to hear... need more verification, though.

Good. Framerate is important.

Love to hear Dr. Vita's input over Dualshockers 10/10 :)

I don't care about these sort of things, but other people seem to care a lot about it so it's a good thing that they're working on it.

Wasn't this the site that people were thinking they were going to give the game like a 6 or something cause they seemed very critical of it?

But even with all their criticism, the lowest they were thinking of going was a 9.5, yet went with 10. Wow this game seems to be a masterpiece.

But nice to hear. I also hear the day 1 update fixed the joycon sync issues as well.

Thats excellent to hear.I imagine if Nintendo managed to fix those fremarates before reviewers got their hands on it, the game could now be at 99, since pretty much the only criticism i saw about the game is about that.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

He also said there is a Zelda bias... If you see my other thread ;)

Hopefully the same thing for the Wii U version then?

The frame drops are the one major concern I have. Bad enough that the game is only 30fps, but add drops into the teens on top of that and we have a major problem.
