I have to save some money to buy one of these puppies

If the price leaks and benchmarks are correct then AMD is going to absolutely destroy Intel in price to performance ratio. It's about time AMD got back in the game.

Yes Intel has been worried about profit margin these last few years and got caught with their pants down

Yeah, not having any innovation for years due to a lack of competition has really made the desktop CPU sector stagnate. Basically releasing the same CPUs with incremental improvements whilst charging a fortune for each iteration... really glad AMD are upping their game with this.

I'd wish they released these a year ago, when I was buying my PC. I had to go with a Skylake i5 6600K instead and will keep it for some time. But I will build a more budget PC for my dad this summer and I'll surely go with Ryzen. Customers should support AMD both on the GPU and CPU sides, since healthy competition is better for us in the long term!

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Yeah, I can't wait to see those benchmarks, that's where my budget is at. If the 1200x and the 1300 beat the similarly priced high end i3's and low end i5's, I will most likely use one or the other in my next upgrade, paired with an Rx 480 or the lowest end Vega GPU (depending on pricing later this year).

Mhmm, what I am most curious to see is what will intel's response be provided everything is legit. Will they finally lower their 8 core prices to +-100 of the Ryzen prices? Cause if Intel say lowers the price of the 6900k to say $600, I might go for that instead cause some of the features are better such as quad channel ram, thunderbolt and etc.

isint the 6900k the one that cost over 1k? If it is, you rreally think they would cut the price so much? It would be like saying in the PR "yep they beat us, we had no choice or the will push us off the market".

Well the question has always been how much markup is intel making on that CPU? If AMD can bring a CPU that can compete with the 6900k in virtually all scenarios for less than half the price, either intel's R&D team is inefficient as fuck or intel has been making quite a huge mark up on their CPUs. One way or the other, intel will have to bring their prices down, whether it be the 6900k or it's successor cause they can't sell a CPU for twice the price if its competitor offers very similar performace for half the price.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I belive they have been charging so much cuz they had no competition. I think they all of a suden will anounce a succesor with the same perfoormance as kabylake but "found new tech and/or procces" to lower the price. we will know its bullshit, but they need to save face. Its not like we will ever find out the profit on each cpu they make.

Yeaa. Hopefully Ryzen turns out to be legit cause boy, do we need it to be

Even if Intel reduce prices, consumers should still buy AMD(if these numbers are accurate). Otherwise it will reward Intel with having periods of being able to charge more for doing less than they could.

Intel need to be punished by the consumer for resting on their laurels... if AMD produce the goods of course

Woah, looking good for Ryzen.
