It's ridiculous how bad the legs of the series are. I mean, Mario Maker started off the same week with less than a quarter of the first day! |
Final Fantasy has always been legless haha

It does make sense at least. Final Fantasy is not only one of Japan's most iconic series, but it spends years being given significant media attention, and then follows that up with a major marketing push towards its launch. SE do everything they can to make that first week as significant an event as possible.
In comparison, something like Mario Maker is much less of an event. It can still sell well long-term thanks to its own brand recognition, a dramatically larger market base, and good word of mouth, but there's less urgency to buy it day 1.
PS4 hardware continues real strong. This was the week I thought PS4 would have dropped a lot more.
week 1 holiday
week 2 KH2.8 and Danganronpa 3
week 3 GR2 and Valkyria
week 4 RE7
week 5 nothing "major" (this week)
So after 4 weeks of great hardware sales and game releases it would be normal to see hardware numbers drop significantly, but no PS4 is still up YoY.
And what makes this PS4 sales performance truly impressive is the fact there must be expectations for Switch already.
I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

36k PS4s is okay.... hopefully next week it does more, due to Nioh.
Are there any sales expectations for Nioh? What kind of numbers should we expect or would it give a HW boost?

Well, Famitsu reported over 80k in digital sales, so it's past that landmark. Just might need an cheaper re-release to get it over the hump for 1m retail.

No hardware boost expected. Most people are expecting 30-40k FW.
The king of legs WW is now the king of legs in Japan. The impressive thing for me is it's still being sold at the average retail price for a new 3DS title
The real MVP!

I see, I guess Nioh, Nier and Horizon should help the ps4 stay with these type of numbers. I'd guess they are higher than last years
