Won't matter if you end up as a vegetable for the rest of eternity.

But harvesting animals for food is ok?

Well what I meant to say is the mentality of death, the fear of it. |
I get that. It just seems like something that's too obvious to need saying. Obviously survival is our prime concern.

Those animals aren't part human last I checked xD |
Those "things" won't be human.

The problem is that they will be creating a new living being with the sole purpose of killing it just to study it and eventually harvest it's organs for human replacements. Sure it will eventually help humans live longer, but at what cost. Science unchecked is a bit of a problem, sometimes they get so wrapped up in rather or not they can do something that they forget to ask rather or not they should do something (think I just quoted Ian Malcom, lol). There are plenty of other potential avenues for studying diseases and lengthening the human lifespan that don't involve creating something living just to kill it. |
Easy solution ...
Don't give any other beings mental capacity comparable to that of humans. It's best for the animals to not ever understand or know about their situation so that we can maintain our peace of mind when we already harvest animals for food ...

Couldn't they still make it into bacon?

Then you have never seen disposing of male chickens or how chicken nuggets are made.
Created to be killed... and eaten.
If there is a human way of creating new organs, they will surely consider that option.
