Hopefully the rumor is true. Alternatively, it would also be nice if one could download the voice track of their choice if they so wished.

Don't worry, there is plenty to read.

It looks like it will probably just be major scenes that are VA.

THere is a "first 17 minutes" video up on youtube of the game. It's basically what we saw last E3. Not really any spoilers. But the old man you talk to in the wild doesn't talk, it's all reading.

Reading in cutscenes?? The fuck is wrong with y'all?? Personally I like actually watching what happens in a cutscene but each to their own I guess

You played FF15?

Like one of the biggest scenes in the game, where there is this big reveal and what not it has the soundtrack playing so freaking loud that I could not hear a single word the villain was saying.

I could surmise what he said based on before and after events, but I shoudl probably go onto youtube and watch that scene with subs on.

But yea, i'm same as you. THere are times though I wish I had subs on cause it can be easier to understand with them on. But i feel it breaks immersion. I mean I read a sentence in seconds and the person talking is still talking. It's especially annoying when there is a dramatic pause, yet I've already read teh word 10 seconds ago.

To me it sounded like typical Japanese overacting.

Basically, it's quite annoying almost.

I really hope you can play with the Japanese voices and English subtitles. The English voices in the trailer weren't very good. Zelda in particular doesn't sound right in English, while the Japanese VA nailed it, especially that crying scene.

I think most of the English VA was alright although Zelda sounded whiny. The more I think about it though, Zelda is supposed to be upset in that scene so she's supposed to sound higher-pitched there than her usual voice like anyone in real life would sound.

I need to hear her usual voice.

There ;)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I like my LoZ like it was when I was growing up. I don't need extra bells and whistles, just give me my gadgets, my dungeons, my characters.

I understand some want voice acting but Nintendo should make it optional.

While I can understand your desire for that, I think turning off voice overs is a rare option in games. I can't remember ever seeing it off the top of my head, so I wouldn't expect it.
However, you can expect Link to remain a silent protagonist at least.

Personally I hope for dual audio, because the English voice acting sounded lackluster in comparisn. Compare Zelda's crying in both versions for example.

The US voice actor is barely even trying. While the Jp VA sounds like she just tricked into eating the worlds hottest chillipepper.

Dunno. Without context, they both sound comparable to me. Just make it optional, Nintendo.

Good video though.

That would be a cool idea as a back-up, if the rumour isn't true. Still, the fewer downloads the better, what with the limited Switch memory and all.
