Officially: The PlayStation 4 is the best selling console 2016 in the UK and has sold the most games. This was published in the report. Especially the PS4 Pro is sold out in many parts of the country. Accurate sales figures are soon named. My forecast for this new year: 2017 will be the same - with clear distance.

Well... I mean this is expected as PS4 even won the US, assuming XBO doesn't take a 250k+ lead in the December NPD.

It'd be more interesting news if XBO had won 2016 in any region/country.

PS4 always wins, Scorpio will hopefully make for a more interesting and closer battle next year.

No surprise! Only the PS5 can beat it now. Since Nintendo doesnt really do "well" there.

Hopefully we get numbers on the VR and Pro.

The PS4 Pro seems to be sold out in many countries. But also in America, many stores have no PS4 Pro. And PlayStation VR..more must be produced in order to finally be available everywhere. That's why I think that official / exact sales figures will be called later. Maybe in late January? Let's see if there is enough PS4 Pro's and PSVR when Resident Evil 7 appears.

So pretty much since 2013 then.

What I find more interesting is that when all's said and done, the PS4 will probably sell more software then every other device of the generation combined.

PS4 Software Sales > XBO+3DS+WiiU+Vita Software Sales.
