To clear up the situation: When talking about Pre-orders you have to keep in mind that there are user-preorders and shop-preorders.

User-preorders are the copies preordered by actual gamers who want to buy the game at the first day.

Retail-preorders are the copies preorderd by shops / retailers --> these copies do not always sell during the first days, it is just the number of units lying in stores.

 

In the case of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue those 1 million units are retail preorders, meaning there are 1 million copies available in stores. We have no information about user-preorders, though.

 

I hope this explains the issue a bit better.

Consumers realized it was a demo, and not the actual full experience.

I'm waiting for the Demo of the Demo of GT5.

lol its called gt5 concept its been out for about a year now.....! via psn it only cost 20$ and you get 1 car and 1 track and all you can do is time attack ;) enjoy!

Week 2 in othesr for games are sometimes stronger then week 1. So I would still wait to see good #'s

 are you nuts? last time i checked the game is half the price of a regaulr game in the UK and $20 less in the US.  That is not full price.


ya just got it thru costco online for $ 34.95 so retail is probably $40.00 thats what warhawk was for a download on PSN.
