If the rumours about the Switch screen functioning as VR is also true, then the combination of controllers + VR could be really interesting

As I get it from the reports I've read about the switch reveal, the actual "hidden feature" is some builtin, small resolution infrared camera?

 

We got two hidden features. HD Rumble and infrared camera. But there were a lot of rumors about the camera part.

So, no one is interested in the HD Rumble feature? I'm surprised more people are not excited about this.

This is next gen rumble tech, crazy seeing how many people are against it. I can see this becoming an industry standard.

Exactly, tech that improves on older tech (like everyone wants Nintendo to do) and they have it (without even trying it)

I can't wait for a rumble based game where there are aliens in your camera that's attached to your console, and you can beam them to your controller. Then when you move your controller around you can feel them moving to different parts.
