GameStop Will Pay $50 Extra for Your Consoles Now Until Friday
The trade-in bonus is only good for a few days.
Retailer GameStop has announced a new, limited-time trade-in promotion where you can get $50 extra when you trade in a console or other piece of technology.
The "Fund Your Holiday" campaign, as it's called, began today (December 7) and runs until Friday, December 9, so you don't have much time to take advantage of the deal.
The fine print states that your trade-in item will need to be in "full working condition" to receive the $50, which is given via gift card. Additionally, this offer can't be stacked with any others.
All of the products listed below are eligible for the trade offer. The PS4 and Xbox One have a $125 normal trade value; combined with the $50 extra, that gets you $175 in all. Go to GameStop's trade value site to see what your console/device/VR headset's value is.
Something else to keep in mind is that the PS4 Slim will drop to $250 in the US starting on December 11. If history is any indication, Microsoft may follow suit with an Xbox One price drop, too.
