As a handheld gamer and vita, not ps4, owner, this thread sounds like a joke. There's no focus on games for it, from Sony's part.

Well. Unfortunately you aren't the focus of Sony for quite some years. I do understand your issues with it, but this thread is about the console decisions not hh or other ventures.

TLOU/UC4 where both delayed. My comment was taking delays into account. 2019 at the earliest (taking delays into consideration) seems like a safe bet and most likely when it will release. Sony announced this too early. My original comment was about Sony delaying they're games and announcing them too early being they're "missteps" still stands. That's my opinion, that guy losing his shit was uneeded.

I may be wrong but you were like saying all or more than half of those games would come at 2019 at earliest. If you were talking about TLOU2 then we could say it's plausible. But the way you portrayed was quite off from the truth.

But I'm not continuing with this. It seems I've ruffled enough feathers for this thread.

And weren't you intending exactly on that?

I didn't followed those gaming news back then, but wasn't Uncharted 4 delayed once, from the holidays of 2015 to march 2016 ? Or did it had other delays before ?

I just know this one for it, at least publically, but maybe before reveal there were other delays

Uncharted 4 saw two noted delays. One from March 18 to April 26 and the other from April 26 to May 10. All from this year.

had forgotten about these two newer delays that were informed quite close to intended release date before each delay

I wonder why people hate delays so much. I have hardly enough time to play half the games I want. How is anyone's life really affected by a delay? Can't you play something in between? Who cares if Uncharted 4 came out in May 2016 instead of sometime in 2015 March 2016. The important thing is, was it good? If yes, then great. If not, then that's a problem.

Whether 2017, 2018 or 2019 turns out to be great, all I know is that these games look very promising. As a ps4 owner, I'm very happy.

There have been no missteps just impatient gamers who think you can knock out good games overnight or don't quite understand Sony's strategy.

Releasing a slim, pro and vr = Sony getting lazy.

Sony held to much much higher standards compared to everyone else as usual.

Sonys strategy is to earn money like everyone!

So "This is for our moneybag"

Sony has had these games in development for years. They were just waiting for them to be ready. Their focus has always been on games but they take time to develop. While other companies make old games, they focus on new ips.

You mean new IPs like The Last of Us 2, God of War 4, Knack 2 (why is that even a thing?) and a remake of the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy?

Alrighty then.

lol, you aren't downplaying huh? The Last of Us is still a new IP, just because it was recently announced doesn't mean it's not a new game. A few days ago, it would have still been a new IP.

The funniest thing I find about this is that you only list the sequels. You're acting like Sony releases nothing but sequels except they've released the most new IPs since FOREVER.

Days Gone, Detroit, The Last Guardian, Death Stranding, Bloodborne,Horizon, Driveclub,Dreams, Until Dawn, and a bunch of downloadable titles. IPs like Uncharted, inFamous, The Last of Us,and a bunch more I just don't feel like going into which are just from the PS3 era, are not that old. Most of Sony's sequels are not games from 1990-1999 unlike a certain developer I'm sure you know.

No, it's not a new IP. A sequel can never be considered a new IP... It's already 3 years old, nearing 4...

Death Stranding and Until Dawn aren't made by Sony.

Sony doesn't even have IPs from the 90s that are worth bringing back. And a lot of their games don't even sell all that well in the grand scheme of things. If Sony had any franchises that could easily sell more than 10 million copies with each installment than they'd keep it alive as well. But you know, they don't.

missteps is a stretch, those concerns are not concerns for most people who have a PS4, dont let the forums fool you, we are a small minority in the grand scheme of things. UHD? Most people dont even know what the hell that is. Skyrim? How many people who have a PS4 will even get that game? 7%. Now PS3 and Vita those had some missteps
