Still in the starting area. Almost done with exploring everything. Found lots of things. A dungeon that is way too high level, A dungeon I don't have the last key for, a dungeon I can't enter, a fishing place with too strong fish and zero enemy encounters in like 3h. I cannot create new magic with my full magic resources because I don't have enemies to spend my current magic on.

Currently stuck at mob hunts where the mobs don't spawn.

Was that a riddle?

I'm only level 5 and decided to go on a hunt while it was dark only for a level 30 monster to appear, I decided to stay and fight it. Took me around 10 mins to beat it and 2 Phoenix downs and a whole lot of potions but managed to defeat it. Decided to head back only for another to appear lol, just got the hellnout of there. The dark is definitely NOT for low level players.

Was that LV 30 monster an Iron Giant with 3 Bombs that appeared out of Black fire in the middle of another fight? That happened to me.

I am still fooling around in the starter area, haven't opened the border yet which I will do pretty soon.

I fell down trying to target the Bandersnatcher ;o
Tried to hit it a few times but to no avail. Ran away again...

Haven't seen the game over screen yet though. I am still trying to get my battles to go fluently but so far it doesn't feel very comfortable. Don't know if that is supposed to be this way.

Just keep fighting. You need to build muscle memory for controls, but this game is not shy about throwing a ton of enemies at you and it can get overwhelming.

I want to do the sidequest called "The Ever Valorous Regalia" (recommended level 26), but there are two blockades that won´t let me get to the quest, and I just started chapter 6...anyone know whether there´s another way or if I have to advance the story?

Im 11 hours in and still in chapter 1. been exploring, doing side quests, and leveling.

I have some graphical questions though.

Im playing on the PS4 Pro (High setting) on a Sony XBR940C 4K 75 inch tv. HDR looks great on it. But I have some things Im seeing and want to see if everyone else is experiencing it as well.

Do you see some low res stuff like when you camp, when it shows how many days have lapsed and such, does that look really low res to you? Like the image in the background? What about some of the text? Like the HUD looks ok, but sometimes when text comes up on screen, it looks jaggie and lower res. Same when you look up close at the pictures Prompto takes when you are choosing which ones you want to save. They look noticeably lower res and have worse banding. Another example is the hunt poster when you complete it. The poster itself and the text looks clear. But the text that comes up that says hunt complete and shows which hunt it was, the text is jaggy and low res. Same with after a battle, when they show your report card. If the letters are bigger like an A+, the letters look much lower res.

Also, are you seeing banding in the sky? Like I can see alot of banding in segments for the blue part of the sky with light sources. Same happens at night some in the night sky with the moonlight (EDIT - NOT IN THE NIGHT SKY ACTUALLY. More like when its transitioning from day to night).

And the last thing is I watched a cutscene after you get to the motel that Cindy wants you to deliver a package to and it shows Luna and Noctis talking a while back. On their faces, there would be some lines going across them at times. Did this happen to anyone else? Same thing kinda happened with Uncharted 4 for me as well, when there was cutscenes and it showed faces move, there would be some of that also.

I wanted to see if people are seeing these things.

Really enjoying the game though. Fun battle system and the characters are enjoyable.

None of these issues at all. The only thing I have is the screen is stretched so I cant see the edges. To be more clear, for example I only see the first digit and a half on HP

Where's the dungeon on the first part of the map you're dropped into?
