Sorry to hear that.  Now's really the time to wait, because in just a few months, there's going to be the i7 7700k, and GTX 1080TI, etc.

With me living in norway, all those things would cost roughly a bazillion dollars, and I want to have my PC before christmas because of the simple fact that I'm soon out of high school and I'm unsure of how much time I'll have to game after that.

So why build a gaming rig?  I mean, you could always make the time.  I know I do :)

Gaming will definitely be the most demanding thing I'll do on it. Other than that I'll probably do some schoolwork on it, but that doesn't really take power. Though I already ordered the parts now, hopefully they arrive soon.

Don't listen to this guy.

There's alway something new and shiny right around the corner.

If you were always waiting on the next best thing you'd never have anything to game on.

Yeah... the whole "wait" theory is such wash because we want to play now.  It has merit but get the best value for your money and enjoy.

It's basically December already.  I know that things are always going to improve, but, things are going to be made better for DX12 support, and other technologies, which, I honestly don't get much of a performance boost from yet.

But, it also comes down to what you'll be playing and what you want to get out of it.  If I only had a 1080p, 60fps display, and I didn't do anything much past gaming, then, my PC would be fine.

But, as someone who wants to reach 144FPS, stream, and etc.  I'm going to need a much more powerful rig. There's really just one game I'm after in 2017.  Tekken 7, which should run just fine at a locked 60FPS (anything else isn't fair).

But, I guess none of this matters anyway, because he already got the parts, and the newer stuff would cost too much.
