In short, yes it will do the HDR you are looking for.  Right now there are really only two versions of HDR out there, HDR10 and then Dolby Vision.  Companies brand their own name to the HDR10, while Dolby Vision is a proprietary Dolby thing.

but there are also 4k tvs that say "hdr enabled" but cannot do either hd10 or hdr dolby... its confusing

"Enabled" usually means that the hardware supports HDR but it would require an update in the future to get it. I would avoid that if I were you.

The only standard right now is HDR10 ( LG calls it HDR PRO for marketing purposes ).

Personally, I would recommend Samsung KS8000 / KS8500, high quality displays with excellent implantation of HDR, but a little pricey.
