MK and Smash take lots a resources and time from Nintendo, so I would love to see what will they made instead new MK and Smash games.

I'd prefer Smash 4 over a new Smash on the basis that Sakurai could instead be spending time on new games rater than wasting time making the same game for the 5th time.
As for Mario Kart, I don't really care. MK8 is a very solid MK game, with a few tweaks it could be a lot better. Either way I'd just like to see a good community around like there was back in the MKWii days.

It wouldn't be the end of the world, those are just two games, but I definitely prefer they get full fledged sequels.

Unless they are going with a Expansion model like Splatoon, but then longer and more expansive, they will put out a new MK.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

The problem is they shouldn't HAVE to choose. People love brining up how much stacks of cash Nintendo have in the bank, yet that's not a good thing. They shouldn't have had software droughts with the WiiU, they should have spent money and created more studios, but they just put it away in some vault and do nothing with it.

If they want to make more games, spend the vast amounts of money they have to hire more staff.

But yeah ignoring that it will be interesting to see what games Nintendo come up with if they choose to not develop new MK/Smash experiences for the Switch.

I think with games like Mario Kart, Splatoon and Smash Bros Nintendo will choose to treat them as a software platform or application that receives version updates instead of entire installments.

I don't think Splatoon is established enough for Nintendo to rest on their laurels with the franchise. It also has fully flegded, respected campaign that I think needs more then just DLC to replace it. I think we'll get a Splatoon 2 with a bigger budget and huge marketing campaign/merchandising etc. But I agree with MK/Smash.

I agree, it's a New IP for Nintendo, they need to aggressively push it to establish it as a long-time Nintendo Staple.

There's no way that's not going to happen.

Those two franchises do well regardless of what platform they are on. No way Nintendo is stupid enough not to put new ones on the Switch at some point.

Just making bigger and more teams will not solve problems, most likely that would effect on quality of games. What actually will solve most of those problems is one unified platform for support where they will not need to devaide their teams and resources (Switch).

Definitely would be interesting to see what teams with resources and time they spending on new MK and Smash, would make something new and different.
