Yep, that looks to be right. If MH is dropping in March, it must also be landing on the NS.

Sorry I mixed up RE Revelations was a 3DS port on the Wii U, MH Tri G for Wii U is a port of the Wii game.

Point still remains, and I still think this is definitely happening.

March 18th is also a Saturday, and Wii U and 3DS both launched on a Saturday in Japan. There are 4 Saturdays in March 2017 ... so there's a good chance NS is one of those, and March 18th IMO is a very high probability.

From Jan. 12th (the Tokyo full unveil of Switch) that will give Nintendo just a shade over 2 months to ramp up advertising and get retailers ready ... sounds about right on to me. 

I think it will launch March 18th in Japan and yes MH XX will be one of the launch titles, and then last week of March for NA and Europe.

Completely agree. MH Geneations HD is going to release as a launch title. I'm sure both Nintendo and Capcom want it that way.

Its in Japan, they are the slowest country and switching to new consoles. This will only be on 3ds and won't affect its sales.

Actually Japan from what I've seen switches faster than other countries.

Old platforms die much more quickly once a "successor" is announced/released in Japan (ie: Famicom died very quickly after Super Famicom launch, GBA fizzled out quickly after DS, in the US and Europe it took much longer for a transition, etc. etc. etc.). 

Probably part of the reason why Nintendo is cautious calling the system a "portable" for now because they don't want 3DS sales to stop right away, particularly in Japan where it's the 3DS' biggest market.
