maybe because breath of the wild was running at 12 fps, but was a simulated screen not the device itself.

Why would they simulate a screen of a game running in 12fps?

cause it's a debug version, and they are not going to put a game in development inside a cartridge just for 10 seconds of advertisement. was probably the wii u version too.

What the actual f**k...

Kart and Sploon were most likely just mock-ups, Skyrim too. That should be obvious.

Well seeing as how the the NS took forever for a reveal I'm sure many assumed that Nintendo should've had finalized things like that already disregarding the thought that it could've been a mock-up.

They have plenty of zelda footage that isn't 12fps to use if they didn't want to use live gameplay footage. KLXVER is right, if they were simulating it, it would surely look better.

"game footage not final; graphics and features subject to change"

Yes, for sure, but there is a huge difference between "game footage not final" and "you shouldn't assume this is game footage".

Jesus Christ Nintendo...smh

I really hope they aren't saving all the bad news till right before the thing launches.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

No it shouldn't, given that both Splatoon and Mario Kart featured never before seen assets, including new hair styles, multiplayer map, and kart racer. That's a lot of trouble to go through for "mock-ups" when they have just as easily (and much more cheaply) used pre-existing game footage. This basically just sounds like typical corporate speak companies use when they don't want to talk about something yet.

Even in the gamexplain interview with one of the actors he said that nobody was playing games on the thing. everything was post production.

They wouldn't have to make a cartridge of that debug version. I'm sure the Switch will also run digital versions from flash memory.
