Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch partners VS 3ds+WiiU partners

WiiU list (at least) is incomplete.

Indeed where is platinum games, they supported the platform more than practically any other thirdparty developer.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It is quite obvious that the Switch will inherit the 3DS's and possibly Vita's support in my opinion. That alone makes the system worth buying.

Bravely Default HD, Shin Megami Tensei HD, Monster Hunter HD, both versions of DQXI (PS4 and DS), Castlevania, Etrian Odyssey, Theatrythm, Yokai-Watch, maybe Persona remakes/ports, etc.

I suspsect the NS will have quite decent Japanese support (this will probably be a phenomenon in Japan.)

What Nintendo needs to do is get a size-able fraction (50-70%) of Western support that the other platforms get so that people in NA/EU who want to play their favorite Western games on the go, can.

I actually think Nintendo will gain a lot of small developer support (especially from Japan) because the NS is like a happy medium for them with its added portability -- strong enough to create nice looking games and not have to compromise on their creative visions but weak enough that they won't have to spend tons of money on development costs like they would developing for a traditional home console.

Aren`t they the kind of devs that are already devloping for 3DS though? So it`d be more retaining them than gaining them.

I see it more as the developers that are making Vita/smartphone games that don't want to deal with the power limitations of the 3DS, coding for it or its non-standardized dual screen.

Oh, fair enough.

And actually, speaking of smartphone devs... maybe this could finally be the console that gets a certain Mr. Sakaguchi to come back to console development...

Yeah, I kind of hope that Nintendo partners up with Mistwalker again because I still think that Sakaguchi has one or two good JRPGs left in him.

Ohhhh. I haven't played those on 3DS... Maybe a good opportunity if I get the Switch...

The BuShA owns all!

Do people realize that ~1/3 of the logos on NX support are middleware companies right?

Support is still slightly better than the Wii U's was... but yeah it looks like more than it actually is.

Thats why I wrote this earlier on in the thread:

Looks almost the same... slightly better maybe?

I'll remain cautiously optimistic on this.. they could have a good list, but it doesn't mean that they will stay for the duration of it's life cycle

plus there are mobile devs on the list
