Some of the things they're doing with lighting in a lot of PS4/Xone titles make them look absolutely stunning, though -- especially UC4 and Horizon, but a nice artstyle can still take you a long way. Journey is still one of the prettiest games I've ever seen. Same with The WindWaker, and that was 6th gen! I guess I'm a sucker for cel-shading. |
Yes we know, but if you decided to skip WiiU and release on Switch and that is your powerhouse title and showcase of the new console we shouldn't be giving them that benefit just to put it as 8th versus 7th gen. But anyway...
Yes they had to do some compromise (that is normal on car games) but the general look is higher than Zelda (to me, I do like photorealism, even though I love anime and cell shadding, Zelda looks don't compare... but we know it's easier to pump a good looking racing game than a RPG).
Yep UC4 is incredible (and to me UC2 still look better than Zelda, but I can understand someone preferring Zelda) and I would love to see what nintendo would do having the same power as Pro or Scorpio, let's wait to see the power available in Switch and what they are going to do with it.
