Hi there,

I dont really know how to call this topic, but I recently had thought of this issue and so I decided to open an thread about it.

The situation I am going to mention has just been choosen to make it easy understandable, but actually I mean it more in an general way, not only related to this situation.

The situation

You are hanging with three friends and you dont know which restaurant to choose this evening.

One of them says that you can choose where to go to this evening, the others agree.

Some facts

- You love chinese food, dislike mexican food, but are fine with almost everything else.

- Friend1 dislikes chinese food, but is fine with everything else

- Friend2 really likes mexican food

- Friend3 has no special likes or dislikes concerning food

Person A decides to go to chinese restaurant. He was told he may choose, so he chooses according to what he wants and does not consider his friends thoughts.

Person B decides to go to italian restaurant. Actually he really would have loved some chinese food, but he thinks about his friend which dislikes chinese food. So he chooses one restaurant, which is fine for everyone.

Which person are you - Person A or Person B?

Please feel free to discuss.

Good friends would take option B).

I also happend to think italian is better than chinese food so yeah :p

Order Pizza. Everyone is pleased. If friend A loves chinese food give him some dry noodles to sprinkle on top.

You're never going to please everyone. But if that person is a true friend of mine, I'll go with Chinese because deal with it.

Option C: go buy pizza :p

If you have to, you could alternate your choices..

B. I am always aware of others and respect their feelings.

I would not choice A or B.

If i can't go where i like eat, i would go alone or other friend who like what i wanna eat, and do something else with friend who not like what i eat.

Unless i am the invited (but here its not me who choice) so i go whatever they choice. anyway i like eat everthing so its not a problem to me ^^

Option C: Give them some bugs and tell them to appreciate their food and stop whining

You literally just said: A true friend would put my needs before his, while in the same breath saying you'd never put anyones needs before yours.

You just called yourself a bad friend.

How the hell did you read that? I said that amongst my true friends, if I really want to eat Chinese food and another friend doesn't like it, I'll get Chinese food regardless. They'll be able to deal with it.

Now if they are craving something else as much as I'm craving Chinese food then we'd just go somewhere that serves both. But that's a different scenario.
