If Sony can sell the Pro for $400 in 2016, i'd be surprised if MS have to charge more than $450 for the Scorpio (even $400 isn't impossible, depending on the RAM and CPU upgrades). The Pro will likely be $350 by the time the Scorpio releases, and the average console gamer isn't going to spend $100+ on an upgrade comparable (though likely not identical) to the PS4 vs X1. MS know that.

Actually...
They've begun to discuss the specs. |
I... CGI, that's just a list that has "TBD" all up and down, with the exception of what is essentially "something with 6tf and 8 cores of something".

True. Though, going by that chart, I'm guessing the CPU is going to be the exact same as the one in the XBO, only upclocked similar to the one in the Pro. I know some fans were hoping that the CPU was going to be top of the line, with 12 GB of RAM, and maybe a more powerful GPU, but still come in at $399. Looks like it'll be what I suspected, the Pro, but with a better (or overclocked) GPU. Granted, I guess they could still put more RAM in it, but I think MS is going to want to keep the price down. I still think they are going to try to price this thing at $449-499, but given that the Pro will most likely be $349 by the time this thing launches, MS might try to launch at the same $399.

She made the comment in an interview with USA Today recently (via NeoGAF). She said, "Any games we're making that we're launching in the Scorpio time frame, we're making sure they can natively render at 4K."

= wriggle room. Deniability that they ever claimed all Scorpio games forwever will be natively 4K. And probably can be read to mean that actually many MS games on Scorpio won't be 4K natively. It's just that the games that will be releasing for Scoprio during the launch period (Holiday 2017) will all be native 4K.

Well, there you go. I looked at the price of a gtx 1080, which apparently cannot do 4K/60fps and it's about $1,100 in Australia.

Technology could change between now and then. Business strategies could also change. Until we get some more concrete details of the Scorpio that most speculation remain thoroughly labeled speculation.

lol the native 4K thing is funny. Sure I expect Forza7 to be 4K and 60fps. I think Forza Apex on PC can do that not needing GTX titan or 1080. But other games to work on Xbone then I doubt they can achieve native 4K without having to compromise with fps or detail. Probably just have Xbone gfx at 4K. Also it seems more and more that they are targeting 4K users.
