In japan stuff like size matters, and they are all about quiet & energy efficiency.
I see the Slim with persona 5 selling really well.
Also FFXV.... its time to get a playstation, and that should have a noticable effect.

They don't care about power at all, they prefer a little console. 

60k is too low, especially with the ps4 being out of stock for weeks, and persona 5 bundle already sold out.

Yeah and No.  It is true that Japanese ussualy don't care about graphics and it is also true that Sony is pushing the slim more than the Pro there (which is the oppossite situation in the west) but we have to considere that the Pro was first at all the big  online retailer I visited until it got "sold out" ( price increasing up to 10000 Yen like it was a limited edition ps4 lol), looks like sony wasn't expecting to ship lot of pro units in Japan, but I still think lot of poeple will wait for the pro. And Also with my analyse for the past 2 years counting the number of weeks and multiply it by the number of supposed sale numbers(5X~20K=100K+) isn't actually out it works, if the ps4 were to sell 100k+ it would be because of the slim and its pricecut and not the because of the number of weeks it went out of stock. Also the Persona bundle sold out quite quickly witout being in the top of online retailer chart like the pro was so probably low shipement there.

so that is why I don't think it will sell more than 70K, I might be wrong but this is just the result of my analyse.

I guess 100k it has had shortages and persona is a pretty big deal in Japan, which I expect to sell 250k on PS4 and 75k on PS3.

200K The PS3 slim did great + all those shortages + Persona 5+ People saying japan market is fine should easy put it above 200K.

Seems about right to me :)

I did quite well only 2k out on PS4 sales and the total Persona 5 on both platforms sold was 337k which I predicted a total of 337k but got the split wrong by 30k, I really though PS3 would get more than it did but maybe that slim price cut tempted them over to go with the PS4.

Both PS4 and Persona 5 surpassed my expectations. Which is good. Hopefully they can keep up the momentum.
