FYI, I'm not paying for PlayStation Plus now, and I'm not planning on paying for it when I get my Pro.  Also, I'm nore of a single player gamer.  I personally believe that you should only pay to play online when it's an MMO or in game purchases.

Not paying for PS+ doesn't change the thing that you still have to pay some fee to access some content you bought. Imagine if you play The Last of Us or Doom 4. Both games you play mostly for the single player, great solo experiences, and you enjoy them fully without even getting to the online portion. But you still paid for their multiplayer, maybe a 10% or 15% of the 60€ went to the multiplayer, but you still have no access to content you paid for. And that keeps piling up, game after game, and at the end of the gen you have quite an important amount of money spent on something you can access unless you pay some more. It's ransom, give us money oryou won't be able of use part of the game you paid for.

And that's without going to multiplayer focused games. Without PS+, Overwatch, PvZ and the rest of them are basically thin air. A cup holder, and if you bought it digital, even less.

Again, if it was a problem with multiplayer in general, this wouldn't be an issue, but the fact you can't access the content you bought is what really urks me. And this is just going to go worse and worse.

Ok, I see where you're coming from.  And what I'm about to say doesn't excuse what's being done.  As we know, most new games retail for $60 new.  I can see where both single player and multi player contents are on the disk, but someone such as myself can only access the single player content because I have no interest in multi player.  But the publisher/developer probably would have charged $60 anyway if only single player content alone was on the disc.  In this case (but I suspect there are other cases), I honestly don't see it being an issue.

I'm going Pro :) and i'm in the same situation as you 1080p hdtv owner and im super excited that PSPro offers a lot to that as well not just to Tv's with HDR and 4k. But i will however buy a 4K tv in the near future!

That's true, but it still doesn't make it right. If anything, it makes it less fair, because they are not adapting their prices to the demand of the consumers.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Don't expect this to happen anytime soon because this was and always has been the case for the longest time.  Two vastly different games can cost a retail price of $60 yet one could have cost the developer 1/2 the budget to make.  It is what it is.

By January 2018 I intend on owning the ps4 pro, the psvr and a high end 55" 4k TV.

They currently cost about $1500 so whenever they fall below $1000 I'll get one.

I'll also be selling my ps4 and possibly my current TV so that should raise $500 to offset the cost.

Gonna get the PS4 Pro on day one, I was waiting for an update as I've had a 4K tv for a year and a half and I wanna watch stuff in 4K and the addition of games playing in 4K too now

Bet with AndrewWK: If GTA V sells more than CoD: Ghost by the end of the year I gain 1 months avatar and sig control. I won!

Saving up is the BEST way to go.  Don't go in debt even though it's the "American" way.

I have enough money in the bank to buy a house.  But there's an old saying "a fool is easily parted with his money".  So if I can save $600 by waiting a year and another $500 by trading things in or selling them to someone I will.  You should always be srewed with your money!

Neither here. I have the Vader PS4 and i think the thing is sexy. Paid $400 for it last Christmas not willing to shell out any more. Besides i have a low end 1080p TV so I doubt I would see $400 worth of better graphics on it. Game play is king not graphics in my book.
