Forums - PC Discussion - Steam Shoot'em Up Sale - Recommendations wanted

Hey folks!

Steam has placed what seems to be a large Shoot'em Up (or shmup) Sale. Take a look:

http://store.steampowered.com/sale/shmup/

So, any recommendations from the fans of the genre?

I got most of the famous ones, like Sine Mora (well, who doesn't at this point?) the eXceed series, Ikaruga and Satazius. Also, on my GOG account the Raiden series lies together with titles like Crimzom Clover.

Wainting to hear from you, people.

Gunstar Heroes and Renegade Ops are the two I can recommend.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Chicken Invaders 5 is excellent and is 2.5$ now.

Nice. Some Genesis action. I was thinking more of the R-Type line of games, but I'll take a look. Thanks!

The CI series is rather underrated. The more modern ones (3-5) are extremely fun to play IMO. The classic ones aren't as smooth, but 2 (the one that kicked off the series' popularity) can give you a good time :P

At these prices, you better try them. There's still many unlockables to unlock on my end, and the game becomes so hard when you enable handicaps that increase the score somewhat. Add to that a higher difficulty, and dammmmmn

Bump. It's almost over.
