Forums - Gaming Discussion - A game like "The Last of Us" should be on the NX.

For the NX, I feel there should be at least one exclusive title on the platform that can appeal to the mature North American players. Bayonetta 2 is definetely a critically acclaimed title and for mature audiences, but is sort of a niche of a game.

Games like "The Last of Us" can appeal to an older north american audience and doesn't have to be generic fodder like Call of Duty or Battlefront that boasts their "CtrlC + CtrlV" mindset of developement.

Just my opinion.

EDIT: To be clear: Yes, The Last of Us is a very cinematic game. I did not say it had to be very cinamatic, just a mature and north-american style game. Either way, saying a game is bad for being cinematic is something people need to stop thinking, as that is like saying a book with pictures is terrible because the pictures take away from the reading. Get it out of your heads everyone.

Nintendo agrees. Zelda Breath of the Wild is an attempt to show a bigger diversity than Marios. They are probably working on new IPs that shows NX true potentials as well.

3DS, Wii, PSP, Vita, PS2, PS3, PS4 & Steam.

Nah, I'd rather have games that have you actually play them.

I kid, somewhat!

Cinematic games are ruining the industry?

Not... I dunno... DLC, Microtransactions, fee-to-play, season passes, FPS multiplayer fodder, glitchy launches, over-hyped games, etc.?

Nah,won't sell.

I don't want to point fingers but aren't Nintendo supporters vocal critics of "cinematic" games ? I remember all that disdain against these type of games all too clear ...

Important edit...

I could do without it.

Well I see vgchartz members are not that fond of The Last of Us...

I'm not a big fan of them. I like my gameplay and I'm not a big fan of TLoU's gameplay.
