I felt a little guilty when i was laughing out loud reading the thread title. Glad i'm not the only one who thinks this is good comedy.

 

When the translation app translated "I want to go walking in Italy", the red cross employee finally realized the misunderstanding.

Am i correct interpreting this as the underlying punchline?

No refugee wants to stay in Italy, let alone choose Italy over Germany. That's why the red cross guy understood what was going on.

You dont have too learn a second language if you want to travel.

No, but in that case you should know how to use google translate and perhaps bring a travel glossary.
