Thoughts?  Seems like a good time for an announcement to me. In New York, the same location they announced the PS4 initially. Hopefully this is true.

Beat me! I don't think this is official though but the newss could start cutting into XB1s sales as people wait to see what it has to offer.

Sony's TGS conference is usually around then. Is this official?

BTW does this mean that NEO will launch in September? House hinted that they will release it shortly after the announcement (avalilable right now thing).

It could be legitimate simply based on the timing of this leak. No Man's Sky releases 9th/10th and here we are with out first indication of the Neo announcement. Momentum isn't that hard to build when you know what you're doing ;)

Whether it's real or not, I think it makes more sense for them to have their own event, as they did with the PS4, and not TGS. Japan isn't as big a market for them any more and they can dedicate the event to the Neo.

Timing is right before TGS though, which seems a bit off, but it would fit with a late September/early October launch, tying in with the rumours that games have to have a Neo mode from October.

I think House said that PS VR is enough new hardware this year and that they release PS4 Neo short time after announcement. So I don't believe we will see PS4 Neo this year. But maybe a PS4 Slim?
