Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft warns you if you play your Xbox One too much

You’ve been playing for a while now, why don’t you take a break?” If you own a Nintendo 3DS, then you’ve no doubt had to put up with this notification every 30-60 minutes while playing the handheld. It’s a rather intrusive pop up that cannot be turned off for many titles. So far, this sort of notification has been relegated to Nintendo’s system, but it seems that Microsoft will be implementing something similar with the Xbox One.

While playing the backwards compatible Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the Xbox One, Reddit user, iBobaFett, was met with a notification that read: “Excessive game playing may cause problems in your daily life.” After failing to find others who were experiencing this, he decided to record a video of the notification and share it with the world. This is what he was met with after only one hour of playing the game.

The PS5 Exists.

They do it once I believe. Then never again. Got the message once myself, but if I got it every time I spent more than an hour on my Xbox.....lol

I'd be swimming in them

There's been a handful of deaths related to excessive gameplay as of late. You save the player, you avoid a lawsuit. Everyone's happy (and alive).

They mean too much per console. Kindly buy a second and third console to extend play time and avoid problems in your daily life.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Marco....

Never gotten that notification. Maybe I don't play enough? :O

A reasonable warning if they'd send it every now and then. Now, since I have a Kinect camera I wish they'd also send a notification if I'm starting to get fat.

Filthy casual.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

I think it's a fine idea.

i think it is stupid but so is the american legal system so i can understand the overcaution.

Weird, never seen that once and I have spent hours at a time playing games lol.
