Forums - General Discussion - Biggest issue(s) with Apple for you

Apple. Founded by Steve Jobs and Wozniak, it eventually became the biggest/second biggest company of the world.

Even with such a legacy, it does have its flaws(which are becoming more noticeable by the day). I have some issues with Apple currently.

1) 16 GB options. Just why? How hard is it to make 32 GB the smallest size? The OS takes up half the space anyways.

2) MacBooks need to get focused on more. Looking at the sales slump, it's obvious that people want change. Glad siri is finally on macs though. Should've been added a long time ago.

3) I never understood the obsession with thin products. What's the point? It's not like having a slightly thicker phone will mean the end of the world. Perhaps they can have a bigger battery with the space they remove.

4) The fourth generation apple tv's keyboard had so much potential. It could've made it much easier to type by having the keyboard be left alone, but they chose to change it and make you swipe the letters in a merry-go-round fashion.

5) Potentially removing the headphone jack. Wireless is still not convenient enough to do so. I honestly don't see what is so wrong with having the option for wireless and wired.

6) Their battery case is UGLY. No question about it. With their obsession on looks and thinness, I'm surprised how they allowed the case to be released to the public.

7) [not an issue] Their stores are so damn neat. I wonder how long it takes for the employees to make everything spotless for the next day.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

It's too damn expensive.

Heavily overpriced

Lauded for technological prowess they really don't have

Clunky and surprisingly unfriendly interfaces, I believe most of the people who claim that Apple products are so user friendly simply haven't tried the more streamlined options out there. It was always a nightmare when I borrowed my ex's Macbook and the iPhone at work is just not good at all, so many small and ridiculous choices and features (or lack thereof) that make no sense.

Extremely closed ecosystem that hurts both consumers and 3rd parties who want to sell their apps and games in their stores

Charge a hefty premium from retailers, making the profit margins on Apple products a lot lower than other, similar products, but retailers have no choice but to stock their hardware, it reminds one greatly of the way Nintendo did it in the 80's and early 90's

Locked services and formats

Locked accessories and cables etc

Poor compatability with a slew of software and accessories, this goes for both Mac and i-line of products

Terrible security on cloud services

Piss poor hardware in Mac's, especially the GPU's are a disaster, especially for the insane prices they charge, their fantastic screens go to waste due to this

Most standard programs and apps in OSX are worthless, even more so than the standard programs in Windows

Building their entire legacy on hype and shouting rather than real substance

Their unethical and consumer-hostile business practices has somehow made them one of the biggest companies on earth, a complete mockery and grand show of how it pays to be bad

Complete disregard for social responsibility in their manufacturing and assembly processes

Their stark-raving mad fans who are not only ill informed, but also somehow believe that I only say these things because I really want Apple products but I'm poor and miserable and can't afford them...

Their products are ridiculously overpriced.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Overpriced products

No allowing jailbreak

The only Apple product I've ever owned is an iPhone so I can't say much more than that.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Price, and no standard headphone jack on the new iphone

Terrible Pricing with Terrible OS with Terrible Hardware

I like their iphones and ipads tho.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Too overpriced, too restricted

Way overpriced
