Forums - Sony Discussion - Biggest issue(s) with Sony for you

1. Making Zipper change SOCOM into a third person shitty CoD clone with SOCOM 4 and then shutting the studio down and telling us that based on SOCOM 4 sales, fans don't want any more SOCOM.

2. Allowing PD to destroy the GT series.

3. Letting Adam Sandler continue to release shit movies.

Pay for Online, lack of personality, mostly uninteresting first party games, targeting the teenager minded since PS2, too much focus on the cinematic experience, lack of support for Vita after a year, lack of any kind of innovation and a sometimes too toxic fanbase on the internet, I guess that's only a noisy minory, but still.

They make good hardware though, and good products overall, some of their exclusives are worth while and they also always had a very strong and stable third party support, so there is that.

The vita is an obvious one but aside from that a lot of their recent games just feel pretentious imo. Almost everything they make is trying to be super dark and moody and cinematic and it just turns me off. To make matters worse it feels like they're moving away from the Japanese stuff that drew me to Sony in the first place. Also the fanbase is annoying as shit. Nintendo and Microsoft fanboys can get pretty bad but it feels like Sony fanboys have Nintendo and Microsoft combined outnumbered 2 to 1

There are quite a lot of things i dislike about Sony as a whole, but specifically on the gaming end, my primary complaint is how they've treated the Vita. I can (begrudgingly) respect their decision to stop supporting it, the PS4 provided a considerably better place for them to focus their time and money, but that they continued to try and present an image of support irritated me a lot.

Paying for their online! that's all

Sony is taking too long to release their games.
Paying for online.
Short battery life on the controller.

Paying for multiplayer.

1) The ds4 is a great feeling controller with crappy rubber on thumbsticks although they did replace two free of charge for me.
2) my son has a vita so that support dropping stinks
3) ps tv could have been great but alas they sent it to die

I have not owned many Sony products since my walkman in the 80's except a sub woofer i deeply regret doesn't say klipsch instead of Sony.

I don't have issues with things others have listed:
Paid online : half the price I was paying for live family plan for just as many users.
Cinematic Games: they're are plenty of variety in games on the store. The cinematic ones are the only ones my family will sit down on the couch and participate in with myself. I'm happy we have variety in games. I'm older so maybe that has something to do with it.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

Lots of BS in that. Nothing really unexpected in that comment though, coming from you.

But I will only ask about one point:

The Last of Us
Beyond Two Souls
Heavy Rain
Gran Turismo
Bloodborne
The Order: 1886
etc...

Are games that target teenagers? I would understand if you were talking about Nintendo, since they exclusively make family friendly/oriented games, but Sony? Nope.  They make games that target multiple groups of age. So unless there is something I'm missing, I will ask you to elaborate.

Yes for me most of their marketing and games started to be focused mainly for teenagers since ps2, wich is the worse you can do for me, I rather watch a kids or a family movie rather than a teenage one, even more with videogames. And btw half of the games you are using as exemple are pretty bad and had pretty lame stories for the easily impresionable that doesnt know much about cinema like the teenagers, even when the story is the main and sometimes only focus of the game, wich goes to my point about too much focus on cinematic experiences. The other ones... well I admit The last of Us is overall pretty mature, Bloodborne mostly too I guess, there are exceptions everywhere though.

I'm only giving my opinion on a thread where the OP is clearly asking for it, I'm sorry if you dont like it but you dont need to call it bullshit, is not like I'm attacking anyone or saying something out of place.
