Just thought I'd revive this thread to let people know that you can get a badge for free from doing some stuff during the autumn sale.

You can get a total of three free trading cards per day during the winter sale. Two for checking your discovery queue (one per queue) and one for voting in the Steam Awards. Don't miss out peeps.

It was the same in summer sale I found out about it on the last day so remembered it for the winter sale this time :D

It's a shame that we can no longer trade the Sale cards because of Steam's new rules .

Oh, and thanks for the reminder of the three cards per day. I made that mistake in the last Summer Sales.

Last time I tried it, a couple of sales ago, the waiting time to greelight the trade was so long that it ended after the Sale itself.

I like the lvl 8 summer sale badge the most, so I think I'm gonna go for that. Gonna have to do some trading to get all the cards I need though.

Anyone looking to do some last minute card trades before the cards expire? No reason to let them go to waste even if you don't intend to craft the badge yourself!
