I thought of one!

The original Killzone. That 70 on Metacritic scared me off, but in order to play the 91-rated Killzone 2, I needed to play it.

Turns out I loved the original and disliked the sequel, which cemented in my mind the reality that Metacritic is a total crap shoot.

Hmm, if I recall, I thought Xenoblade looked very boring when the game first came out, and never looked at it.

It wasn't until Shulk's inclusion in Smash that I gave the game an actual chance, and now it's one of my favorite games of all time.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Mighty no.9

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Hyrule Warriors. At first, I thought both were cheap attempts to steal my moneys by clinging to big names, but both are extremely addictive and kept me playing for several hundreds of hours.

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Demons souls was a disappointment at the beginning. Had the game sitting for months after a tough start dying once and again. When i took the game back and learnt how to play it...well, now i love the souls series.

Oh, and the ps3 wolverine game. Not a masterpiece, but real fun to play.

Persona Q and Bravely Default are the most recent ones.

Xenoblade X, still a huge disappointment from the predecessor but the fun lasted more than 110 hours already and I did not complete the game yet while skipping most of the side quests.

Infamous and Watch Dogs.

Gran Turismo 5: I thought I hated racing games, then I gave this one a try with my friend. We had a blast beating most of the game.
