Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Breath of the wild vs Horizon Zero Dawn... rant.

Yup, pure insecurity, because the console they have been shitting about for years could be having the best game of the generation in months. Not saying that it will be the best but it looks like it could be, and that's enough to cause this.

I personally think both look good, just I dont think Horion is gonna be that memorable but I have no way to know this until both games are out.

They want Nintendo to fail.

I'm guessing that you see what you want to see and what you don't want to see, you filter out until it fits your perspective, thus allowing you to cast one side as the victim and the other side as the villain.

Well it's expected that a zelda game has more hype than horizon, after all, zelda is an established franchise unlike horizon. Don't understand why some gamers can't understand that. It would have been weird if it was the other way around.

So let me get this straight, you are talking about other users being "insecure" when you are the one making a thread complaining about the comparisons?

As a Nintendo fan, I can attest to the fact that I don't instigate in "vs." like this. If I like something, I'm going to say that I like it. If I don't like something, I'm not going to comment on it. I just pass it by because nobody wants to hear what I have to say on a game if all I'm going to do is talk about how bad it looks. I mean, if you don't like it or don't have anything constructive to say about it, don't say anything at all.

I LOVE the way Horizon looks. As a matter of fact, they're both kind of similar in terms of concepts from what has been shown. So I guess I don't have the same understanding of lust towards crapping on Nintendo fans for celebrating Zelda. But I've seen it a lot lately. On the forums, especially on Youtube. Both games look amazing. I don't really see many Nintendo fans deliberately going to Horizon and taking jabs at it, it's mostly the opposite way around and quite frankly, it needs to stop. If you don't like the game, fine. But trying to deliberately upset fans that are providing constructive conversation about the game just because it's getting a lot of attention.

It's a Zelda game. It can have a huge following too! And so can Horizon! AND THEY BOTH DO! I just don't see the need for people to waste their time talking trash about the opposite game. Okay, got that off my chest.

I was under the impression that a Nintendo fan made the comparison in the first place. ::coughZyroXZ2::cough

That was something I managed to pick up on last gen when it wasn't such an easy win, where the other two sides were having a decent blast of a time and having a few good titles of their own, now this gen we're hearing a lot of "the king has returned", that alone tells me of insecurity for someone to claim a plat as king over all, there was never a need to ever brand one as such because all of them are different, we all like and play different games, there never will be a king returning of any sort.

That said both games look and act different, I don't even begin to fathom as to why we need to compare the two together, unelss of course one side is insecure over the other having the chance at getting a decent game and thus they want to shut down whatever source of hapiness or joy that can be found (looking at the shit Nintendo and MS have had so far this gen points to that). Both look good in their own respetive styles, there is never a game that is objectively better than the other, it's always going to end up being a subjective subject in the end anwyay which si why it's pointless to throw them both together.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

I wasn't even aware those two games are being compared to each other much less enough to warrant a thread like this but in all honesty, I don't lurk about on zelda related threads unless there's that sort of headline on the thread. Anyway, those games are nothing alike and the consoles they're on are likely nothing alike. Might as well be on different parts of the galaxy.

Most of the people saying Horizon destroys Zelda are Sony drones. I wasn't impressed by either reveal trailer, so they might honestly think it doesn't look good. However, after watching the hour long gameplay from Polygon and other sources Zelda looks great. They're not that comparable IMO. I honestly do think they're jealous since it was the most hype game at E3. I think it is childish though.  Still much more excited for Persona and Final Fantasy personally, but this is the system seller the NX needs.
